The Auburn Tigers and Arkansas Razorbacks have played on the gridiron every year since 1992 when the Hogs joined the Southeastern Conference and its Western Division. Before that, the two teams played only once – in the 1984 Liberty Bowl in Memphis.

Most of that time, the Auburn – Arkansas contest has been played in the month of October. Other than the December Liberty Bowl, the Tigers and Razorbacks have met twice on November 2, but the other 20 meetings were held in the year’s tenth moth.

That will change on Saturday, as the teams meet on August 30. Auburn welcomes Arkansas to Jordan-Hare Stadium Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:00 pm Central, and the game will be televised on the new SEC Network. SEC Nation, the network’s weekly on-campus preview show, will be live from Auburn.

Overall, the series has been very close, with Auburn winning 12 of the 23 contests to date and nine games have been decided by a touchdown or less. Last year, the Tigers pounced and jumped out to a 28-3 lead midway through the third quarter before earning the 35-17 victory on the road.
