It’s the last weekend before National Signing Day and Auburn still has a lot to play for. Coming to the Plains for visits this weekend include five-star linebacker Ben Davis, four-star defensive lineman/offensive lineman Prince Sammons and three-star safety Daniel Thomas.

Here is the latest on some of Auburn’s top targets heading into the weekend:

Jayvaughn Myers – Like his step brother Nate Craig-Myers, Jayvaughn has narrowed down his choices to Auburn and North Carolina. It’s believed that the two could come as a package. Nate will be making his decision at 10 a.m. on National Signing Day, so that may give us an indication of where Jayvaugn will go when he makes his decision at 12 p.m. Wednesday.

Derrick Brown – There was a report this week that the five-star defensive lineman had narrowed his choices down to Auburn, Alabama and Tennessee, but according to his mother Georgia and Mississippi State are still in the mix. Brown received in-home visits from both Georgia and Auburn this week, and he’ll take an official visit to Tennessee this weekend before making his decision on ESPN2 on National Signing Day at 2 p.m. Central.

Rashan Gary – Auburn is not giving up on the nation’s number one recruit as Gus Malzan, defensive coordinator Kevin Steele and defensive line coach Rodney Garner went to Atlanta on Thursday to meet with Gary where he was accepting his Bobby Dodd National Lineman of the Year award.  The Tigers are also hoping he makes a visit to the Plains before making his decision at noon on National Signing Day. Michigan is considered the favorite and Alabama is in the mix as well.

Ben Davis – The five-star linebacker received a visit from Notre Dame’s equipment truck on Thursday. Five Fighting Irish coaches visited the Gordo, Ala. native to make their pitch. He’ll visit the Tigers this weekend before making his decision Wednesday morning at 9 a.m. on ESPNU.

Ahmmon Richards – Gus Malzahn, receivers coach Dameyune Craig and special teams coach Scott Fountain are also making a final push for four-star wide receiver Ahmmon Richards. Richards was quoted as saying that “(Auburn) made up some ground,” but that everything is still even among Auburn, Alabama, Miami and Tennessee.  Richards cancelled his visit to Tennessee this weekend, which could mean it’s down to Auburn, Alabama and Miami. The Tigers are apparently making him a top priority down the stretch, but Alabama is still viewed as the favorite.

E.J. Price – After visiting with Georgia head coach Kirby Smart on Monday the five-star offensive lineman decided to take his last official visit to Athens this weekend. Auburn has really been pushing hard for Price down the stretch, but a trip to Athens on the final weekend makes things a bit scary going into National Signing Day.

Prince Sammons – Oregon coaches made a strong push for Sammons this week by delivering an in-home visit. The four-star defensive lineman will be visiting the Plains this weekend as the Tigers will give it one last shot. Michigan State is thought to be the favorite for Sammons but hopefully that changes after this weekend.
