Offensive Line

We knew the offensive line was talented enough to handle the Arkansas front seven, but there were some concerns over the off-season with the departure of left tackle Greg Robinson and with the loss of Alex Kozan to injury.

Saturday, the unit played well, and paved the way for 302 Auburn rushing yards. The Tigers averaged an impressive 6.3 yards per carry on 48 attempts, and scored three times on the ground. Nick Marshall was sacked only once, and Jeremy Johnson was clean at the end of the second quarter, so the pass protection was solid.

The only miscues for the O-Line included two missed 3rd-and-1 attempts in the first half, 15 lost yards by Marshall in the second half, and a couple of penalties. Otherwise, Shon Coleman looked good replacing Robinson, and the position shuffling surrounding Kozan’s injury appears to be working just fine.
