On the official depth chart this week, the Auburn Tigers had Cameron Artis-Payne “or” Corey Grant listed as the starter. Artis-Payne received the bulk of the work on Saturday, and it would not be a surprise to see that “or” removed next week.

The Pennsylvania native had only 12 yards on his first six carries of the game, but gained 165 on his final 20 as he and the Tigers wore down the Arkansas defense in the second half. “CAP” finished the day with 177 rushing yards and a touchdown, and added a clutch 14-yard reception that picked up a first down early in the game.

Much like he did last year, Corey Grant made the most of the opportunities he was given. Grant averaged 8.7 yards per attempt on his ten carries, which included a 24-yard run and a touchdown. He showed world-class speed, as usual, and also ran with power. Overall, both backs were great and Tigers fans should be excited.
