Last Week: Beat Florida Atlantic 41-0

Alabama still has a competition at quarterback, but there probably shouldn’t be one. Blake Sims was 12-for14 passing with 228 yards and two touchdowns. He scored once on the ground as well, but did fumble once near the end zone also.

Jake Coker had 202 yards and a touchdown, but he was less accurate (15-for-24) and made what most would agree is a bone-headed play in the red zone at the end of the second quarter that cost the Tide an opportunity to score.

Amari Cooper was the star on offense. The receiver tied a school record with 13 receptions and had 189 receiving yards and a touchdown. To put that into perspective, FAU gained only 145 yards of total offense and 88 through he air. Alabama had 620 total yards, even though the game was suspended in the fourth quarter due to lightning.

This Week: vs. Southern Miss
