Last Week’s Result: Lost 41-3 to Ole Miss

The Commodores look like the last three seasons never happened. Actually, they could be even worse than the Vanderbilt teams the school fielded prior to James Franklin coming to town and turning things around.

Last week, head coach Derek Mason did the right thing by sticking with one quarterback (instead of the three that played the previous week against Temple). The problem was that Stephen Rivers completed only six of 25 passes in the game for 60 yards and an interception (a 2.4-yard average).

On the bright side, Ralph Webb is a quality running back. He had 95 of Vanderbilt’s 107 rushing yards on 18 carries. Unfortunately, it was nowhere near enough production for the ‘Dores to be competitive against Ole Miss. The score was 41-0 in the third quarter.
