This game opened with Georgia as a 2.5-point favorite, which at the time screamed that Vegas wanted the public to take the action on Georgia. And, as you would expect, the public pounced and drove the line up to -7.

After the Week 1 victory over Clemson, Georgia has jumped into the forefront of the national championship discussion. On the other hand, with South Carolina’s season opening loss to Texas A&M, in which the Gamecocks were blown out 52-28, and the closer than expected win over East Carolina (though we told you to take the Pirates), this game has begun to look like a mismatch.

Don’t be fooled. Yes, there is big money rolling in on Georgia, and they will probably win the game. Simply put, they are a better team, particularly on defense. Plus, they’ve got arguably the best player in college football in Todd Gurley.

However, South Carolina still has everything to play for. Not only do the Gamecocks control their destiny in the SEC East, they can get back into the national title race in no time. And they are a touchdown underdog at home? Where they won 18 straight games prior to the loss to the Aggies? Take South Carolina.
