4. Texas A&M Aggies (3-0, 1-0)

Last Week’s Result: Beat Rice 38-10

The Aggies are still coasting after their big Week 1 win in Columbia, South Carolina. Texas A&M had little trouble with Rice Saturday, though the team both started and finished slow.

Quarterback Kenny Hill threw for 300 yards and four touchdowns in three quarters Saturday night before giving way to true freshman backup Kyle Allen. Hill now has more than 1,000 passing yards and 11 TDs in the first three weeks of the season. He connected with Speedy Noil in the first quarter for the true freshman’s first career touchdown, but Noil would later leave the game with an injury.

Texas A&M’s offense took the foot off the pedal in the fourth quarter and even failed to outgain Rice in terms of total yardage. A&M had 477 total yards, while the Owls accumulated 482. The Aggies also had the game’s only turnover, an interception by Allen. Both teams had to deal with loose grass and divots caused by heavy rains in the area on Saturday.
