11. Arkansas Razorbacks (2-1, 0-1)

Last Week’s Result: Beat Texas Tech 49-28

If the top half of the SEC wasn’t so strong – and the SEC West in particular – the Arkansas Razorbacks would receive much more attention for their performance this season. The 45-21 loss to Auburn looks better and better after the Hogs blasted Texas Tech in Lubbock 49-28.

Arkansas ran wild over the Big 12 opponent and took a big step towards bowl eligibility. The Razorbacks had 438 rushing yards against the Red Raiders and were led by Alex Collins, who  ran for a career-high 212 yards with two touchdowns on 27 carries. Running mate Jonathan Williams scored four times (which is as many TDs as he had in all of 2013) and accumulated 145 rushing yards on 22 attempts.

The Razorbacks didn’t need much from quarterback Brandon Allen, who attempted only 12 passes and had 61 passing yards. The defense allowed only one score in the second half, and held the high powered Texas Tech offense to 353 total yards, with only 252 coming via the pass.
