Last Week’s Result: Beat South Alabama 35-3

The Mississippi State defense bounced back from a shaky Week 2 performance against UAB and held South Alabama to just three points and 345 yards in a 35-3 victory on the road.

The Bulldogs continued to execute well on offense and racked up 514 yards of total offense. The unit was balanced with 226 passing yards and 288 yards on the ground. Dak Prescott threw a touchdown pass, ran for one and even caught a 24-yard scoring strike from wide receiver Jameon Lewis in the victory.

MSU is now 3-0 and has an opportunity to really make some noise when they travel to Tiger Stadium next week for a date with LSU. If the Bulldogs plan to make a move in the SEC West this season, it is a game they need to win.
