After a 45-21 win over the Clemson Tigers, many members of the national college football media were ready to label the Georgia Bulldogs not only as a national championship contender, but even a front runner. However, just two weeks later, the Bulldogs lost to South Carolina on the road to fall to 1-1 on the season and 0-1 in the SEC.

Now, the Dawgs will look to get back on track against a weak Troy team that has started the season 0-3. The Trojans, who have been one of the Sun Belt Conference’s better programs over the last decade are off to a dreadful start. Troy lost the season opener at UAB 48-10, were slightly better against Duke before falling 34-17 and then lost to FCS opponent Abilene Christian 38-35 – a team that lost to Georgia State the first week of the season.
Those scores mean that Troy has allowed an average of 40 points per game to three teams that have nowhere near the offensive talent Georgia possesses. The Bulldogs will undoubtedly get back in the win column, and they should be able to put together an impressive performance on both sides of the football on their way to covering the large spread.
