The 2014 season has started eerily similar to the 2013 campaign for the Missouri Tigers. That’s great news for Mizzou fans, because the Tigers rode a sneakily strong start all the way to a berth in the SEC Championship Game.

  • The Tigers are 3-0 after last week’s impressive performance against a pesky UCF squad. Mizzou used a strong second half to outclass the Knights 38-10, with the defense leading the way. Missouri held UCF to 299 total yards and forced four turnovers, which gave the Tigers’ offense great field position throughout the day.

The defense will be tested against an Indiana team that ranks fourth in the country with 345 rushing yards per game. Overall the team is averaging 574 yards of total offense though two games. The Hoosiers beat Indiana State 28-10 on August 30, but fell to Bowling Green 45-42 one week ago.

Of course, the Missouri offense is pretty good too. The Tigers are averaging 41.7 points per game and more than 400 yards of total offense. Expect Mizzou to take advantage of a poor Indiana secondary that allowed 395 yards passing to Bowling Green, and for quarterback Maty Mauk to have a big day.
