Thanks to a big road win in Death Valley over the LSU Tigers, the Mississippi State Bulldogs made a big jump this week. The win was monumental for State and puts them squarely in the mix to compete in the SEC West. Of course, Alabama, Auburn, Texas A&M and Ole Miss will not be pushovers. In fact, all four teams are ranked in the top ten in the nation.
Alabama beat Florida in impressive fashion – particularly when you look at the statistical performance of the offense and the defense. Auburn got a tough road win against a quality non-conference opponent. The teams have been jockeying for the first and second spot in our weekly list – can the Tigers hold on to No. 1?
Also, the teams in the SEC East continue to slide. Florida missed an opportunity to make a statement in Tuscaloosa, and South Carolina was less than remarkable in Nashville. Georgia did exactly what they were supposed to do, but Missouri had one of the most embarrassing losses for the league thus far.
But where will they all fall this week in the SEC Power Rankings? Let’s find out.
