Last Week’s Result: Beat Troy 66-0

  • However, Georgia went out and did exactly what they needed to do by scoring more points than any Bulldogs team ever has under head coach Mark Richt and shutting out the Trojans in the process. In the grand scheme of things, the non-conference win means nothing, but it likely helped wash the sour taste out of the mouths of Georgia players, coaches and fans.

Next, things get much more interesting for the Dawgs, who will host a rested and refreshed Tennessee Volunteers squad. The Vols had a chance to watch Georgia play during their bye week and will have two weeks of prep work under their belts when the two teams face off next week for an early day matchup.
