Last Week: Beat Memphis 24-7
Outfitted in beautiful powder blue throwback helmets to honor the late Chucky Mullins, the Ole Miss Rebels might have been looking ahead a week instead of reliving the past. With Alabama coming to Oxford, and bringing ESPN’s College GameDay with them, Ole Miss struggled to pull away from Memphis until late in the fourth quarter Saturday.

Bad Bo Wallace made an appearance twice as the senior quarterback was intercepted for the fifth and sixth times this season. Wallace finished the game with 248 passing yards and two touchdowns on 22-of-37 passing in the non-conference matchup. Laquon Treadwell was again Wallace’s favorite target and the sophomore hauled in five passes for 123 yards and both TDs.
The Rebels were again spectacular on defense and held the Tigers to 104 total yards of offense. Memphis gained 23 rushing yards on 31 carries and completed only 13 of 31 passing attempts for 81 yards. For you math majors, that is a robust 1.68 yards per play. Can Ole Miss keep it up next week against Alabama?
