Last Week: Beat Louisiana Tech 45-17
It certainly wasn’t the most impressive performance the Auburn Tigers have had on offense or defense this season, but it was good enough for a 45-17 Homecoming victory over the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs.

The offense was balanced on the way to 473 yards of total offense. Quarterback Nick Marshall looked good early and finished with ten completions in 17 attempts for 166 passing yards and three touchdowns. Marshall also hit the century mark with 105 rushing yards on 13 carries, as did Cameron Artis-Payne, who led the team with 116 yards and a touchdown.
The defense was solid against LA Tech, particularly Montravius Adams, who had an interception that he nearly returned for a touchdown that set up Auburn’s first touchdown of the day. Adams also recovered a fumble and knocked down a pass at the line of scrimmage.
Unfortunately, the biggest news from the game came through injury reports. A handful of players left the game with injuries, including both starting linebackers – Cassanova McKinzy and Kris Frost – and offensive lineman Patrick Miller. It’s too early to know if the players will be ready for next week’s showdown against LSU.
