Last Week: Beat Arkansas 35-28, OT
Coming into the season, a 35-28 overtime victory on a neutral field against Arkansas wouldn’t sound all that impressive. After the Razorbacks became one of the hottest teams in the nation following three consecutive non-conference wins, it looks a lot better.

Kenny Hill wasn’t at his best, but he propelled the Aggies to the end zone when they needed it late in the fourth quarter, tying the game on a 86-yard touchdown pass to Edward Pope with 2:06 remaining in regulation. He then found Malcome Kennedy for a 25-yard touchdown on the first play of overtime that proved to be the game winner. Overall, the sophomore Heisman Trophy candidate threw for 386 yards and four TDs, but was intercepted once on 21-of-41 passing.
The A&M defense regressed slightly against Arkansas, and allowed 484 yards of total offense to the Hogs, but they held Bret Bielema’s club scoreless in the fourth quarter and stopped the Razorbacks on four downs in the overtime period. In all, it was a gutsy performance for head coach Kevin Sumlin’s Aggies, and worthy of a jump to No. 2 in our SEC Power Rankings.
