8. Arkansas Razorbacks (3-2, 1-1 SEC)

Last Week: Lost 35-28 to Texas A&M, in OT

The longest losing streak in SEC play now belongs to the Arkansas Razorbacks. It looked like the Hogs were on their way to a huge victory over Texas A&M, but instead the Aggies stormed back late in the fourth quarter to force overtime and won 35-28.

  • Arkansas had little trouble with the A&M defense, both on the ground and through the air. The Hogs ran for 285 yards, led by Alex Collins’ 131 yards on 21 carries and Jonathan Williams’ 95 yards and a score. But Brandon Allen added 199 yards and a touchdown on 15-of-27 passing. However, the Aggies were even better on offense and rolled up 523 yards of total offense on the Razorbacks.

The Razorbacks will have to wait two weeks for another opportunity to beat a Southeastern Conference opponent, and to move up in our SEC Power Rankings. Neither are overly likely, however, as Arkansas will host Alabama on October 11. But, with an extra week to prepare, and the home crowd behind them, it is far from impossible.
