Auburn Will Run For More Than 264 Yards
It’s no shock that the two closest games the Rebels have played this season have come against teams that can run the football. And nobody runs the football in the SEC better than Auburn – literally. The Tigers lead the league with 281 rushing yards per game, which is the tenth best average in the nation.

Last week against South Carolina, Auburn ran for a season-high 395 yards. It was the third time the Tigers ran for more than 300 yards this year, and they barely missed with 298 against LSU. Only once have the Tigers been held only 200 yards, and their season low of 128 against Kansas State is still higher than the 118 yards per game average the Rebels have surrendered this year.
Plus, with 264 yards last week, LSU showed opponents can pick up big yards on the ground against Ole Miss. The Rebels are extremely talented up front, but they are not some mythical creature that renders opposing offenses powerless.
The Tigers lined up and ran the football 55 times last week, and because they kept pounding and pounding and pounding, LSU was able to get into the end zone in the fourth quarter and picked up a big win. Expect the Auburn Tigers to do the same this week, but to have even greater success.
