Things have really taken a turn for the Texas A&M Aggies in the month of October. At the end of September, A&M was 5-0 and ranked No. 6 in the nation. After three consecutive losses, including a disastrous 59-0 blowout at the hands of Alabama, the Aggies are in danger of falling completely off the face of the earth.

  • Luckily, Texas A&M has three things going for them this week. First, the calendar will change at midnight and when the Aggies kickoff on Saturday, it will no longer be October. Second, UL Monroe will be the opponent instead of one of the heavy hitters in the SEC West. Finally, Texas A&M does a pretty good job of blowing out non-conference opponents, having beaten Lamar, Rice and SMU by an average score of 56.3-6.3 and have covered two of three.

Kyle Allen will start at quarterback for the first time after beating out one-time Heisman contender and current SEC passing leader Kenny Hill in practice this week. Allen is 23-of-38 for 264 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions and starting him now will give the true freshman a nice warm-up prior to next week’s trip to Auburn.

Despite their recent struggles, the Aggies will win big.
