Georgia’s loss to Florida in Jacksonville was certainly unexpected, but if you know anything about the history of the rivalry in the past two decades, it was not a shock. What was extremely surprising, however, was the complete domination the Gators exercised at the line of scrimmage. The Bulldogs allowed more than 400 rushing yards in the 38-20 loss to Florida’s powerful ground game.

  • The good news for the Dawgs is that Kentucky doesn’t possess the same type of physical runners the Gators were able to use to pound the football last week. Plus, with their backs now against the wall in the SEC East because of two conference losses, Georgia should be very motivated.

However, Kentucky has a pretty good track record at home against Georgia, and they too are in a desperate situation. The Wildcats started the season 5-1, but have lost three in a row. Needing one more win for eligibility and with a senior night crowd at Commonwealth Stadium, the Wildcats should keep it close early. The question is whether or not they’ll be able to keep it close late. I don’t think they will.
