Strong safety Landon Collins is one of the best defensive players in college football. Collins is a finalist for the Jim Thorpe Award, given annually to the best defensive back in the country, and is a semifinalist for the Lott IMPACT Trophy for the nation’s best defensive player. He’s one of the most experienced players on the Alabama roster, playing 38 games across his three seasons, including 20 consecutive starts.

Collins ranks second on the squad with 75 tackles and. He’s got a team-leading three interceptions, has broken up five passes and also has two quarterback hurries. Twice this season, the junior has recorded double-digit tackles in a game. Expect him to play on Sundays next season.
Nick Perry and Geno Smith are listed as co-starters at free safety while Jarrick Williams is listed as the starter at the Star position when Alabama utilizes five defensive backs. All three will see plenty of action in the Iron Bowl. Perry has 58 tackles this season, including 1.5 tackles for a loss and has also recorded an interception.
Cyrus Jones and Eddie Jackson are the starters at cornerback with Tony Brown and Maurice Smith providing depth. Jones leads the team with nine pass breakups and two forced fumbles and ranks second with two picks. He had a 17-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown this season.
Jackson has 29 tackles, two TFLs, one sack, one interception, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and four pass breakups.
