  • The last time we discussed Terry Beckner, Jr., the East St. Louis, Illinois native was considered the No. 1 overall player in the ESPN300. Since, he’s dropped to second, but is still one of the most sought after recruits in the nation. And one of the most difficult to project.

Beckner visited Auburn on January 16 for “Big Boom Weekend,” and according to all reports, he had a blast. According to a recent Bleacher Report article, Auburn’s odds greatly increased to sign the five-star defensive tackle following that visit.

He would be a perfect fit as an interior lineman for new defensive coordinator Will Muschamp, however, I’m not so sure the Tigers have a legitimate chance to sign him. Mizzou still looks like the team to beat, and AU might even fall third or fourth behind Florida State and Ohio State (where he visited last weekend).

Previous Odds to Sign With Auburn: 20%

New Odds to Sign With Auburn: 15%
