  • A former Ohio State commit, Davis is a big, strong cornerback (though some think he may end up as a safety) that runs well and plays physical. Simply put, he’s exactly the type of player new defensive coordinator Will Muschamp wants.

A Miami, Florida native, Davis had 50 tackles and had six interceptions as a senior at Borland High School and earned first team all-state honors. Defensive backs coach Travaris Robinson has a history of picking up talent from South Florida, andDavis is the latest Sunshine State native to pick the Tigers.

With two senior cornerbacks graduating from the 2014 roster, Davis has a chance to see the field early. He and three-star Floridian Jeremiah Dinson are the only corners currently committed to the Tigers.

The pair will compete with Joshua Holsey, Nick Ruffin, Joseph Turner and Kalvarez Bessent to start across from All-SEC Second Team selection Jonathan Jones and for additional playing time this fall.
