- Returning Starters, Offense: 4
- Returning Starters, Defense: 8
- Points For: 35.5 PPG (63rd nationally)
- Passing: 229.5 YPG (67th nationally)
- Rushing: 255.5 (14th nationally)
- Points Against: 26.7 (63rd nationally)
Spring practice begins for the Tigers on Tuesday March 10, and will continue through the annual A-Day scrimmage on April 18. During that time, Auburn players will compete to either regain their starting roles from last season or replace departed starters.
The new defensive coaching staff will install a multiple 4-3 defense and begin the process of finding the best players to play in the new scheme. Eight starters are back from last season’s unit and Carl Lawson returns from injury, which gives Muschamp and the defensive assistants a strong base with which to rebuild.
On offense, the Tigers will break in a host of new starters at every position group. Jeremy Johnson is likely to emerge as the starting quarterback, but the Tigers must replace the SEC’s leading rusher, two of the team’s top three receivers, two tight end/H-backs and three starters on the offensive line.

Looking ahead, expectations are high. The offense should continue to put up good numbers despite losing many primary players to graduation, and the defense should be much improved with the experience returning as well as the addition of Muschamp, defensive backs coach Travaris Robinson and linebackers coach Lance Thompson.
But a primary reason for optimism is the 2015 Auburn football schedule, which sets up well – especially compared to the gauntlet that was 2014.
Keep in mind, these are very early (way-too-early, if you will) projections and much can change between now and game day. Still, why not take a look and guess how the Tigers will fare?
