Once Arkansas eared a 17-0 victory over LSU to finally put an end to a conference losing streak that lasted for more than two years, the Razorbacks became one of the hottest teams in the country. The Hogs followed their big win over LSU with a 30-0 domination of Ole Miss and a 31-7 blowout of Texas in the Texas Bowl (sandwiching a heartbreaking 21-14 loss to Missouri).
Heading into 2015, Arkansas is a trendy pick to begin the season ranked in the top ten based primarily on a talented offensive unit. Underrated quarterback Brandon Allen returns, as do 1,100-yard rushers Alex Collins and Jonathan Williams, receiver Keon Hatcher, tight end Hunter Henry and four starters on the offensive line.
If head coach Bret Bielema can rebuild the defensive front seven, the Hogs will be a major factor in the race for the SEC title in 2015 – which makes this game one of the toughest on the 2015 Auburn football schedule.
It could go either way, and it’s a game Auburn can win – but it’s also a game the Tigers can lose.
