COLLEGE FOOTBALL PLAYOFF FIELD
1. Ohio State Buckeyes (13-0, Big Ten champions) – With a high-powered offense, a stout defense and an unbeaten record, the defending champions will be an easy #1 choice for the committee.
2. Baylor Bears (12-0, Big 12 champions) – While the non-conference schedule is laughable, the Bears running the table with wins over Oklahoma, TCU, West Virginia and Oklahoma State will easily be enough to get the Big 12 into the CFP in 2015.
3. Auburn Tigers (12-1, SEC champions) – The highest-seeded 1-loss team, the Tigers ride a high-scoring offense and improved defense to its 3rd SEC title in 6 years and its first-ever playoff berth.
4. Notre Dame Fighting Irish (11-1) – This will be the controversial selection this year, as 1-loss ACC champion Clemson and 1-loss Michigan State will be arguing for the 4th spot. However, I believe the Irish will give Clemson their only loss in the regular season, and Michigan State not being the champion of its division will ultimately lead to the committee giving the slight edge to Notre Dame.
