4. Washington

Stadium: Husky Stadium (70,168)

Best Tradition: Tailgating on Lake Washington

All-Time vs. Auburn: Never played

Positives:

  • Located in Seattle, it would be a desirable location for Auburn fans to visit
  • Supposed to be one of the louder stadiums in college football with the roof above both sideline upper decks keeping the sound in
  • Just Google “views from Husky Stadium”. I will sit here and wait
  • Could be on the rise under former Boise State coach Chris Petersen
  • If Husky fans are even half as fun as their in-state rival Washington State fans, Auburn fans would be in for a great time

Negatives:

  • The program has been mediocre for the last 20 years. A win wouldn’t mean as much against UW as other schools on this list
  • Not Washington State fans
  • I think Macklemore is a fan

As stated, it would be a fun trip for Auburn fans to a beautiful city, campus and stadium. However, if they continue to struggle, it wouldn’t be such a great matchup. Nevertheless, as a college football fan, Husky Stadium is definitely on my bucket list.

3. Notre Dame

Stadium: Notre Dame Stadium (80,795)

Best Tradition: Touchdown Jesus

All-Time vs. Auburn: Never played

Positives:

  • History, tradition and prestige all wrapped into one corner of southwest Indiana
  • Notre Dame losing to Auburn might seriously make Lou Holtz’s officially lose his mind
  • One of the top bucket list stadiums for most college football fans
  • Fan base that will travel to Auburn

Negatives:

  • Does beating Notre Dame actually mean anything anymore? It is not close to being the national contender it used to be (with the exception of 2012) and annual losses to schools like Navy, USC and such have made the Irish almost mediocre
  • Most likely wouldn’t happen, but could you imagine if the game were to be broadcast on NBC and Auburn football fans had to listen to the ND announcers? That would be brutal
