List of Top Auburn Football Recruiting Targets and Where They Stand
With National Signing Day less than two weeks away, here is a list of the top Auburn football recruiting targets and where they stand:
Nate Craig-Myers – After his official visit to Auburn last weekend, the four-star receiver has trimmed down his finalist to Auburn, Ole Miss and North Carolina. He will make his final decision on National Signing Day, but things are trending in the Tigers’ favor. The one thing Auburn fans have to worry about is that his last scheduled official visit is with the Rebels on January 29, but still, Auburn is the favorite at the moment.
Jayvaughn Myers – Much like his step-brother Nate, Myers feels right at home at Auburn. After a great visit to the Plains a week ago the Tigers are now the favorite to land the three-star cornerback with Florida State and Florida hanging around. He doesn’t have any more official visits planned at the moment, so hopefully Auburn left a lasting impression.
Derrick Brown – One of Brown’s fellow defensive lineman hinted that he believes the five-star defensive tackle is down to three teams: Auburn, Georgia and Mississippi State. Brown still has visits to Georgia and Tennessee with the Bulldogs currently viewed as the favorite, but the Auburn coaching staff is apparently making Brown their number one target the rest of the way.
Lucas Niang – After his visit to the Plains Niang put Auburn in his top three with TCU and Miami, with the Horned Frogs and the Tigers the favorites. However, he’s scheduled to visit the Hurricanes this weekend so that could shake things up a little bit.
Stephen Davis Jr. – Davis spoke very highly of his visit to Auburn this past weekend and basically said South Carolina is going to have a tough time out-doing them when he visits Columbia this weekend. The Tigers are a 100 percent favorite to snag the four-star athlete according to 247Sports right now.

Ahmmon Richards – The talented receiver also spoke highly of his visit to Auburn, but he has a visit with the Crimson Tide this weekend who are listed as the favorite, and Tennessee the following weekend. He seems like a long shot at this point, but that’s OK if we land Nate.
E.J. Price – The four-star offensive tackle will be in Auburn this weekend for his official visit with the Tigers. Auburn will need this visit to go extremely well to steal him away from Georgia who is considered the favorite and who he’ll spend next weekend with.
Marlon Character – He was supposed to be visiting Virginia Tech this weekend but flipped weekends with Auburn and instead is on the Plains this weekend. Character is already committed to Auburn, but South Carolina is trying hard to steal away the three-star safety. Hopefully Auburn can put all concerns to bed after this weekend.
Nigel Warrior – The four-star safety has yet to confirm that Auburn is in the mix, but hopefully that will change after his visit to the Plains this weekend. After visiting Auburn he will make a stop in Tuscaloosa and then finish off his tour with a visit to Tennessee next weekend. The Volunteers are the favorite to land him.
Joshua Uche – The three-star defensive end is being recruited by Auburn as a linebacker. After his visit with the Tigers last weekend they are listed among his three finalist with Florida and Michigan. Uche will be visiting Michigan this weekend before finishing with the Gators the following weekend who are the runaway favorite at the moment.
Antonneous Clayton – An in-house visit from defensive coordinator Kevin Steele, defensive line coach Rodney Garner and linebackers coach Travis Williams weren’t enough to persuade Clayton to take an official visit to Auburn. It sounds like the four-star defensive end is fully committed to Florida.
Breontae Matthews – The three-star junior college offensive lineman is visiting with Missouri this weekend and said he could make his decision on Monday after that visit. Kansas State is listed as the favorite on 247Sports. Auburn came into the game late on Matthews, but they’re hoping he will change his mind and consider the Tigers down the stretch.
Scott Lashley – Not a huge surprise, but the offensive line recruit announced his top three and Auburn didn’t make the cut. Sounds like the Tigers are out on Lashley.
Landon Dickerson – The five-star offensive lineman said Auburn is definitely still in the mix after an in-home visit from new offensive line coach Herb Hand this past week. Dickerson said that Tennessee, Florida State and Auburn are in the lead for his services. He is expected to make his decision before National Signing Day, and if chooses an Auburn that would be the biggest steal for Auburn down the stretch.
