No. 2 – The Cam-Back – Auburn’s perfect season and a chance at the national title were looking dim as Alabama took a 24-0 lead in the first half at Bryant-Denny Stadium. This is when Cam – and the 2010 Tigers – made their mark in history. Newton found receiver Emory Blake for a 36-yard TD pass right before halftime, and then, on the first drive of the second half, found receiver Terrell Zachary for a 70-yard TD to cut the lead to 24-14. A 1-yard rushing TD by Newton later in the 3rd quarter cut the lead to 24-21.

After a Alabama field goal, Newton and tight end Phillip Lutzenkirchen etched their names into Iron Bowl lore as Cam found a wide open Lutzenkirchen for a 7-yard TD and the 28-27 lead. Auburn would hold onto that lead and finish the season undefeated, and go on to win the BCS National Championship.
