A Little Bit of Luck

Auburn fans know all too well how much luck plays a factor in winning championships. Not to say we haven’t earned anything we’ve accomplished, because luck is not a real thing, but after the “Prayer at Jordan-Hare” and the “Kick Six” we know that certain things have to go your way in order to win.

That’s the case with any team that wins a championship, there are several moments throughout the year when things just seem to go your way. Call it luck, call it good vibes, call it whatever you want, but every great team has those moments throughout the season.

Those moments never seemed to come for Auburn in 2015, and a lot of that had to do with a lack of confidence. Those teams in 2010 and 2013 believed they could win no matter what, and that certainly wasn’t the case for the fans or the players last college football season.

Malzahn needs to be looking for any moment throughout the season that he can use to inspire the guys to know that they can win. Some of that “luck” is due to teams just believing they can win. We have to get back to being one of those teams and fan bases who believes our team can win on any given Saturday.
