Auburn Football Recruiting: Mond Decision Imminent; Two Commits

Late 2016 Class Addition At RB: Added Speed . . . And Help With Mond?
When Baylor issued 2016 running back signee Kameron Martin (No. 112/Scout) an unconditional release on Thursday, the Tigers coaching staff was quick to pounce.
What was initially believed to be a Texas–TCU battle for Martin didn’t turn out to be.

Martin planned to visit the campus of the in-state Longhorns, but that trip never materialized. The Port Arthur, Texas, native instead made visits to Auburn on Friday–Saturday and TCU on Saturday–Sunday, quickly revealing his actual finalists to be the Tigers and Horned Frogs.
The Tigers would win out, and this is a big deal for the Auburn offense, which has lacked a true speed-back since Corey Grant’s departure. The Auburn football recruiting staff wanted Martin last cycle — he had an offer — but missed. This time, they didn’t.
He will enroll Wednesday and be eligible immediately.
As an added bonus, he is friends with Mond — which could help Auburn with the quarterback — and immediately went to work.
