20 Things All Auburn Tiger Fans Should Do

Taking a look at 20 things all Auburn Tiger fans should do once in their life.

As Auburn fans, we all have our favorite traditions that we have to do when back on the Plains visiting campus. I have a few of them that I always obey by, with being in the stadium in time to see the marching band take the field and eagle fly being two of them. With that said, here are 20 things (in no particular order) that every Auburn fan should do once in their lifetime.

20. Get lost in Haley Center

If you went to Auburn, you have already fulfilled this many of times. Finding a classroom in the Haley Center can be difficult, frustrating, and downright intimidating. The hallways that lead through the different quadrants are confusing, and you can always tell when a freshman or newcomer is overwhelmed by the experience by the look in their eyes.

19. Watch a football game at an alumni bar in another city

Serving as the President of the New York City alumni chapter from 2005-07, it was an honor to introduce people visiting the city to our alumni bar when they were in town for a football game. No matter what city you are in, you will most likely be able to find a bar where “War Eagle” will be the greeting, and if ever in Chicago, come check out Waterhouse, where I will be shouting at the screen along with many other fervent alums located in the Windy City.

18. Take in an afternoon game at Plainsman Park

There might not be a better feeling than when those warm spring days arrive and the Tigers take

the field. With head coach Butch Thompson in charge, Auburn should be on a road back to the days of competing for SEC championships. Oh, and they do sell some amazing boiled peanuts there as well.

17. Step out onto the field of Jordan-Hare Stadium

Does the stadium seem big to you from the stands? Well, wait until you are standing at the 50-yard line and are looking up at the upper deck bleachers that seemingly reach to the sky at a straight angle. Bonus points if you get a chance to recreate Chris Davis’ famous Kick-Six run.
