20 Things All Auburn Tiger Fans Should Do
By Brian Stultz
4. Exchange a “War Eagle” in different country/non-Southeastern state
It is one thing to be greeted with a nice “War Eagle” at the Atlanta airport. It is another thing to have that happen 3,000 miles away in California or on another continent. It will instantly put a bounce in your step, and make that day even better. Those “War Eagle” moments that the alumni center put out a few years back still get to me.
3. Roll Toomer’s Corner
It is a simple tradition: Tigers win, and you throw toilet paper onto trees (and anything else that
will hold it.) Learning the method of the best way to throw the roll might come with time, but it is a lot of fun. Taking newcomers to Toomer’s Corner after a win is one of my favorite things to do, just to see their faces when they see it in person for the first time.
2. See the eagle fly
I have no words for how magnificent this is, and how it can charge up Jordan-Hare Stadium in the matter of no time. As the eagle soars (sometimes closely to the fans) around the stadium and the battle cry starts humming from 87,000-plus people, you wouldn’t want to be in any other place at that moment. It is the highlight of visiting fans as well. There is not a better tradition in college. Just take a look for yourself!
1. Picture in front of Auburn University sign/Samford Hall
There is not a more photographed building in the state of Alabama than Samford Hall, but as far as Auburn people are concerned, the Auburn University sign right in front of Samford is the go-to picture to take. On graduation weekend, the line for a picture could be a block long.
