Here we give our week 10 predictions for the upcoming SEC Football weekend, and what each team needs to make a bowl game.

We are now entering week 10 of the SEC football season, and things are starting to take shape, but the SEC West is still very much up for grabs.

There are eight games this weekend in the conference, with six of those being between SEC football teams. None of them is bigger than Alabama vs. LSU in Baton Rouge. That game will have huge implications on the SEC West race.

Meanwhile, Auburn hosts Vanderbilt, Texas A&M travels to Starkville, the Gators take on the Razorbacks, Missouri play South Carolina and Georgia goes to Kentucky.

In the two out-of-conference games Ole Miss and Tennessee should get easy wins against Georgia Southern and Tennessee Tech respectively.

Georgia Southern at Ole Miss – 11 a.m. CT – ESPNU

The Rebels are in desperate need of an easy win, and they should get it this weekend against Georgia State.

Ole Miss has dropped three in a row and is in danger of not even making a bowl game – even though it might matter any way if they’re ineligible.

Look for Chad Kelly and company to put up some monster numbers in this one.

Prediction: Ole Miss – 51 Georgia State – 17

Texas A&M at Mississippi State – 11 a.m. CT – SEC Network

I would say this is a possible trap game for Texas A&M, but after watching Auburn destroy them in Starkville for an 11 a.m. game, I don’t see that happening.

The Bulldogs haven’t shown me enough to prove they are capable of coming away with the upset this weekend. I think the Aggies get rolling early and often in this one.

Prediction: Texas A&M – 41 Mississippi State – 24

Vanderbilt at Auburn – 11 a.m. CT – ESPN

Here is my preview of this game:

Prediction: Auburn – 31 Vanderbilt – 0

Florida at Arkansas – 2:30 – CBS

This is the more interesting game of the day for me as I don’t know what either team is going to do. Arkansas started out hot, but has cooled down after a tough stretch of games. Florida has won, but not been overly impressive this year.

It’s obviously a huge game for Florida as they need to win two of their last three SEC games to earn a trip to Atlanta. This one on the road Arkansas and the one of the road to LSU will be the toughest. If they win this one you have to feel good about their chances.

Arkansas has had an extra week to rest and prepare after a brutal stretch of games. It will be interesting to see if this offense can get going again versus a very stout Florida defense.

Prediction: Florida – 31 Arkansas – 24

Missouri at South Carolina – 3 – SEC Network

Two teams going in completely opposite direction right now with Missouri sinking and South Carolina shining.

I have zero confidence in Missouri winning another game this season, and South Carolina really needs this game to ensure bowl eligibility. In fact, if the Gamecocks win this game they will all but guarantee themselves a six-win regular season, which would be a huge accomplishment for Will Muschamp in year one.

Prediction: Missouri – 13 South Carolina – 24

Tennessee Tech at Tennessee – 3 p.m. CT

The Volunteers look to pick themselves off the mat after losing three straight and pretty eliminating themselves from the SEC Championship game.

The Volunteers will become bowl eligible with this win, and they still have a chance to win nine regular season games.

Prediction: Tennessee – 56 Tennessee Tech – 9

Georgia at Kentucky – 6:30 p.m. CT – SEC Network

More from Fly War Eagle

This is kind of a big game for both teams. Georgia really needs a win to keep their fanbase from going bonkers, and Kentucky needs a win to stay in contention for the SEC East title.

The Bulldogs need to win two of their next four games in order to make a bowl, and this is one you would expect them to win.

However, Kentucky is playing really good football as of late and it wouldn’t surprise anyone if they won Saturday night, which would make them bowl eligible.

Prediction: Georgia – 24 Kentucky – 27

Alabama at LSU – 7 p.m. – CBS

This is by far the biggest game of the weekend, and it’s usually the biggest game of the year when Alabama and LSU meet.

The Crimson Tide really haven’t been tested much this season, but that should change with a night game at LSU Saturday night.

LSU has been much more impressive on offense since Auburn shut them down in week three. We’ll see how much they’ve improved once they go up against the Alabama defense, which basically shutdown Leonard Fournette last year.

Both teams are coming off bye weeks so you expect to get their best. Typically this is a low-scoring, defensive game, but I think we could see both teams get in the twenties.

Prediction: Alabama – 31 LSU – 20
