Batting fifth: Bo Jackson, center field

If Donaldson and Thomas don’t drive them in, then Bo Jackson will clean things up. The Most Valuable Player of the 1989 All-Star Game hit 32 homers and drove home 105 runs that season, his best in the majors.

Jackson’s best year at Auburn was 1985, when he batted .401 with 17 homers and 43 runs batted in after taking the 1984 baseball season off. Drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the fourth round in 1986, he made his major league debut later that season.

We all know that his hip injury ended his football career, but Jackson continued to play baseball after the injury for the Chicago White Sox and the California Angels. His career totals were 141 homers and 415 runs batted in and a .250 batting average, but we all know those numbers would have been much better without the injury. His cannon of an arm in the outfield means few runners would take an extra base.
