 No. 3 – P Trey Cochran-Gill, Oakland A’s

Cochran-Gill was a 17th round pick by the Seattle Mariners in 2014, but he was picked up by the Oakland A’s last year and pitched for its AA team, the Midland RockHounds. He went 4-5 in 42 games with a 3.07 ERA, striking out 58 in 73.1 innings. In his minor league career, he’s got a 15-10 record with a 2.97 ERA and 18 saves.

The 24-year-old right hander is in the A’s spring training this year as a non-roster invitee, so a strong showing could lead to a call up later in the year. The A’s are expected to struggle in 2017 and look to the minors to see what talent it has.

Cochran-Gill, who is from Tallassee, went 6-5 in three reasons for Auburn, pitching primarily out of the bullpen. He pitched in 57 games and had three saves.
