No. 5 OF Joshua Palacios, Toronto Blue Jays

Palacios was just drafted last year in the fourth round by the Blue Jays, but his performance in the minors in half a season has him targeted for a quick rise through the Toronto minor leagues and a potential spot on the major league roster with fellow Auburn alum Josh Donaldson.

Palacios played 50 games in the minors in 2016 with three different clubs, and he batted .330 with a .397 on-base percentage, earning him a position among the top 30 prospects in the Blue Jay system.

After two seasons in junior college, Palacios played just one year at Auburn, batting .385 with 5 homers and 12 steals in 2016. His on-base percentage was a whopping .463, and teams love a speedster who can get on base at the top of a lineup.

Palacios may be a year or two away from the majors, but another strong minor league season in 2017 could earn him a September call up to the big team.
