5. David Hill, tackle, Kansas City Chiefs

David Hill was selected in the fifth round, 62nd overall, by the New York Giants in the 1964 draft, but he chose to play in the fledgling American Football League for the Kansas City Chiefs, who had selected him in the fourth round of the AFL draft.

Hill was the starting right tackle for the Chiefs for 10 straight seasons, and he did not miss a game from 1964 to 1972. He was the starting right tackle in Super Bowl IV when the Chiefs defeated the Minnesota Vikings and was also the starter in Super Bowl I.

Considered one of the best pass blockers of the 1960s, Hill was inducted into the Chiefs Hall of Fame in 1997. He is also a member of the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame. At Auburn, he was named to the Team of the Decade for the 1960s.
