DB Javaris Davis

Javaris Davis made his mark early in 2016, earning some All-Freshman SEC honors as well as freshman All-American accolades. He took on a bigger role last season and excelled. With Carlton Davis off to the NFL, Auburn will look to Javaris Davis to do a little bit of everything in the secondary.

A likely starter at cornerback, Davis also could see time at nickel. He recorded 29 tackles last season and returned an interception 37 yards for a touchdown in Auburn’s rout of Mississippi State.

Phil Steele placed Davis on his fourth-team preseason All-SEC squad in his College Football Preview 2018 magazine. He has the size and speed coaches look for in a corner and there’s no doubt that he will end up on the All-SEC team Thursday.
