Auburn football: Tracking every award list, All-SEC selection, freak and speedster

Bobby Dodd Trophy
Scholarship. Leadership. Integrity.
Those are the three words that define the Dodd Trophy, according to the award’s website.
Twenty college football coaches were named to the preseason watch list, including Auburn football coach Gus Malzahn.
"The award honors the coach of a team with a successful season on the field and equally as important, stresses the importance of academic excellence and desire to give back to the community"
The trophy has been awarded since 1976 when Georgia’s Vince Dooley was the first recipient.
Malzahn is entering his sixth season as Auburn head coach. He’s 45-22 overall in five seasons and 25-15 in the SEC. He took the Tigers to the BCS national championship game in his first season in 2013 while winning the SEC Championship Game. Auburn reached the SEC Championship Game last season, but lost to Georgia.
Auburn has gone to a bowl game in each of Malzahn’s five seasons, which is the fourth-longest bowl streak in program history.
The winner of the Dodd Trophy will be announced during the week of the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl in Atlanta.
