Preseason All-SEC (Lindy’s)

Finally, Auburn gets a little first-team love.

No, it’s not Jarrett Stidham (Missouri’s Drew Lock gets the nod as first-team QB), but three defensive players were selected first-team All-SEC by Lindy’s.

First-team

DL Derrick Brown
DL Marlon Davidson
LB Deshaun Davis

Second-team

QB Jarrett Stidham
WR Ryan Davis
DL Dontavius Russell
DB Jamel Dean

No Auburn football players were selected to the the third team.

Additionally, the magazine names Stidham as the league’s most accurate passer and lists him as the No. 4 QB overall (just behind Lock, with West Virginia’s Will Grier at No. 1 and Arizona’s Khalil Tate No. 2). Lindy’s places Davidson (fifth) and Brown (seventh) on its list of Top 10 NFL talent in the SEC.
