Ole Miss

It’s probably a good thing that Ole Miss doesn’t have any in-over-its-head Power 5 opponents in future schedules. Matt Luke needs time to get things moving in the direction he wants. Plus, the Rebels have it tough enough in the SEC West.

Future non-conference opponents

2018: Texas Tech (Houston), Southern Illinois, Kent State, Louisiana-Monroe

2019: at Memphis, Southeastern Louisiana, California, New Mexico State

2020: Baylor (Houston), Southeast Missouri, Middle Tennessee, Georgia Southern

2021: Louisville (Atlanta), Austin Peay, Tulane, Liberty

2022: Troy, Central Arkansas, at Georgia Tech, Tulsa

2023: Mercer, at Tulane, Georgia Tech

2024: Furman, at Wake Forest

2025: The  Citadel, Wake Forest, Tulane

FlyWarEagle analysis: The Rebels have a wide range of Power 5 opponents in the coming years — Cal, Baylor, Louisville, Georgia Tech, Wake Forest — and it feels about right for what Ole Miss should be doing schedule-wise. Ole Miss will continue feeling the loss of Hugh Freeze but regrouped pretty well as last season progressed. A marquee home-and-home series is missing here, for now. Grade: B-
