The Auburn-LSU game always is one of the most-anticipated games in the SEC. Rarely does it not live up to expectations. Last season was another one of those games — a 27-23 LSU victory — and you can bet that the Auburn players still on the team don’t want to think about it.

Auburn led 20-0 in the second quarter but LSU scored the game’s final 20 points to pull out the win in Baton Rouge. Stidham had one of his worst games of the season, completing just 9-of-26 passes for 165 yards.

Malzahn and Chip Lindsey won’t let the offense shut down like that again. No lead is safe and expect Auburn to play that way in 2018. In this one, Stidham bounces back and shows LSU and the rest of the SEC why he’s the top quarterback in the league. Auburn punches in a late score to provide breathing room in what will be a hard-hitting battle.

Prediction: Auburn 30, LSU 17 | Record: 3-0, 1-0 in SEC
