Who’s in, who’s out?

This is where you usually here that there’s good news and there’s bad news. Except this time, there really isn’t any bad news to report on the injury front.

The two players who remain sidelined — receivers Will Hastings and Eli Stove — remain sidelined and that’s not a surprise. Both suffered ACL injuries and that they are even going through some drills this fall is amazing. From everything we’re hearing and reading, both could be available my the middle of the season if all things go well.

Now, the good news.

Malzahn told reporters that two players who have been limited this fall are practicing without limitations.

Redshirt freshman center Nick Brahms is back as well as defensive lineman Daquan Newkirk. It was believed that Brahms could compete for a spot on the offensive line but he broke his leg during spring practice in March.

Newkirk, a junior college transfer, tore his Achilles and missed all of spring practice.

Expectations are high for both players long-term.

Outside of those four players, the Auburn football team should arrive in Atlanta mostly healthy.
