Auburn 41, Georgia Southern 7

Head coach: Gus Malzahn
Auburn final record: 10-4
Points per game: 33.9
National ranking: 27th out of 130 teams

Against an overmatched Georgia Southern team, Auburn was efficient if nothing else. The Tigers totaled 535 yards and 25 first downs by grinding it out on the ground. Auburn ran for 352 yards on 53 carries (6.6 yards per carry) and led 24-7 at the half.

The most discouraging part of this game? In the first half Auburn fumbled away the ball twice, Jarrett Stidham threw an interception and Daniel Carlson missed two field goals (46 and 53 yards). Turn at least one of those possessions into a touchdown and make one of two kicks, the feel might have been much better.

Then again, the following week against Clemson was one of the worst Auburn offensive performances most of us have ever seen.
