Michael Dyer

Michael Dyer (5-8, 210) could have been the guy to break most of the Auburn football rushing records.

“Could have been” are the three important words there.

Dyer transferred to Arkansas State after his sophomore year when he was suspended for Auburn’s bowl game in 2011.

But his two full seasons at Auburn were very good.

  • In 2010 when Auburn won the national championship, Dyer set the school freshman record with 1,093 rushing yards.
  • Dyer ran for 143 yards in the BCS title game against Oregon and had the memorable 37-yard run where he rolled off a defender to pick up big yardage that led to Auburn’s game-winning kick.
  • Ranks 13th in career rushing yards with 2,335.
  • His 1,242 yard-rushing season in 2011 is No. 13 all-time at Auburn.
  • Ran for 22 touchdowns, which ranks just outside the top 10 in Auburn football history.
