Auburn basketball: Fans should party like It’s 2000

Auburn basketball will be in the finals of the SEC Tournament for the first time in nearly two decades. What was life like back in 2000?

Auburn basketball faces off against the Tennessee Volunteers in the SEC Men’s Basketball Tournament Championship game on Sunday at noon. This is the furthest the Tigers have advanced in the tournament since 2000. To celebrate, we’re taking a trip back and partying like it’s the new millennium.

What was life like the last time Auburn made it this far in the tournament?

26. And last but not least, the 1999-2000 Auburn basketball team advanced to the SEC Tournament Championship where they lost to Arkansas and they made it to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

Here’s hoping that this trip has a better outcome for the Tigers, both in the SEC Tournament and in the Big Dance.
