This past weekend NATURE BOY, Ric Flair himself visited Auburn for his stepson Sebastian’s Camp War Eagle orientation and the internet completely exploded.

Ric Flair is known by many as the greatest professional wrestler of all time. Flair holds the record for most wrestling world championships with 16. He is recognizable not just within the professional wrestling world, but across all social media due to his vibrant personality and flashy appearance. A man who lives true to his name, flair, he is also known as Nature Boy.

I was sitting in the parking lot of a CVS completing a Sunday ritual of running errands when I checked Twitter only to discover a photo of Ric Flair alongside his wife and stepson in front of the Auburn Hotel and Conference Center. I, like every other Auburn fan, began screaming.

TO WHAT HONOR DO WE BESTOW TO THE NATURE BOY’S VISIT!?

It turns out, Ric Flair and his wife Wendy were in town for her son Sebastian’s Camp War Eagle Orientation. Sebastian will be attending the Harbert College of Business in the fall and the Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry now runs deep in the Flair household with one of their kids already attending the University of Georgia! Don’t worry Sebastian we got your back, Auburn is a family and you’re family now.

The Ric Flair news set social media ablaze where I found myself campaigning for Ric Flair to become Auburn University’s next president.

And I was not the only one either.

Auburn has the largest video board in college football, can you imagine Ric Flair giving a “WOO EAGLE” on it?

Former and current Auburn fraternity recruitment chairs everywhere are sweating bullets right now. Any chances Sebastian might be a legacy somewhere?

We don’t make the rules here. All we need is one of Ted Turner’s descendants to enroll and then our ownership of Atlanta will be untouchable.

Blaring throughout the green space this fall will be:

  1. ‘We’ve Got Jared’
  2. ‘Old Town Road’
  3. ‘Ric Flair Drip’

That’s it, those are your 3 options.

Fans began tailgating in honor of the Nature Boy’s arrival. PS Ric, we know how to throw a good tailgate down here. Hit any of us up if you’re ever in need for some good old-fashioned southern hospitality.

Ric Flair and Auburn’s favorite Brit Dee Ford in the 334 at the same time? There are certainly universal forces at play here and chances are they will both be back at the same time when Georgia comes to Auburn in November! Now that is an encounter that has to happen!

No it’s definitely WOO EAGLE now. We have to get this on the Jumbotron as I prefaced before. This is a must.

If Ric Flair ever shows up at Sky Bar I’m calling the Boom Boom Room the WOOOO! WOOOO! Room.

Imagine Ric Flair in The Jungle sitting court side with Charles Barkley and the two attend Bruce’s postgame presser. That’s the stuff that dreams are made of, folks.

The biggest question we’ve been asking for the last year now.

Ric Flair is the embodiment of what a mic man should be. Loud, expressive, creative, entertaining, and persuasive. “TIGER FANS, GET YOUR HANDS UP FOR BODDAAA GETTAAA! WOOOOOOO!”

The most important part of all of this is that Sebastian, Wendy, and Ric Flair are now a part of the Auburn family and for that we should all rejoice with a big WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Did you happen to see Ric Flair in Auburn this past weekend? If so please share with us on Facebook and Twitter!
