Auburn has recruited across the defensive line extremely well in recent years and the 2021 class should be no different. Auburn received commits from three defensive ends in the 2020 class led by four-star Zykeivious Walker and top JUCO prospect Deandre Butler, the Tigers should have plenty of depth following the losses of Derrick Brown and Marlon Davidson.

Still, with the nation’s sixth-ranked defensive tackle, Lee Hunter already committed to Auburn, the team needs another star to work on the outside. Birmingham native and four-star DE Jeremiah Williams has a good chance to be that guy.

Williams is one of the top prospects in the state of Alabama and one of the best defensive end recruits in the nation. At 6-foot-3 and 224 pounds, Williams could very well move to outside linebacker at the next level but regardless, Auburn is seen as the favorite for a top pass-rush prospect.

Williams grew up an Auburn fan and it’s likely between them and Alabama for the four-star.

With the Tigers’ recent track record with defensive-line talent, D-line coach Rodney Garner should make Williams a priority.
